Some candidates find OET more accessible because the test content relates directly to healthcare scenarios. However, OET is not accepted for immigration points — only for professional registration.

Plan your IELTS timeline around your deployment or migration timeline. Allow at least 3-4 months for preparation and testing, including potential retakes. If using the One Skill Retake option, you can retake a single component within 60 days, which can save time compared to retaking the full test.
