Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Okay Kacar (“IELTS 9”, “we”, “us”), operated by Okay Kacar, an individual sole proprietor in the Republic of Türkiye. By accessing or using the ielts9.io website or the IELTS 9 mobile application (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Services. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Do not share your account or let others use it.

3. Description of service

IELTS 9 provides IELTS preparation tools, study resources, practice across the four skills, mock tests, and AI-powered feedback on Writing and Speaking. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription.

4. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal

Paid plans are offered as recurring subscriptions (e.g. weekly, monthly, or annual). Web subscriptions are sold and processed by LemonSqueezy, which acts as our merchant-of-record and handles payment, taxes, and receipts. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are governed by Apple's terms and are billed by Apple.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings (or, for App Store purchases, in your Apple subscription settings). Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • Free trials. If a plan includes a trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.
  • Price changes. We may change prices; we will give reasonable notice, and changes apply to renewals after the notice.

5. Accuracy of information & no guarantee

Our score calculators use approximate conversion tables and the official IELTS rounding method; actual IELTS scores may vary. AI feedback is provided for practice purposes only and does not guarantee any specific exam result. IELTS 9 is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IDP, the British Council, or Cambridge Assessment.

6. User content & licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit (essays, recordings, answers, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit it (including to our AI provider) solely to operate and improve the Services and provide feedback to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract our AI systems or models.
  • Scrape or automatically harvest data from the Services.
  • Share account credentials or circumvent access or payment controls.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates others' rights.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Services or their security.

8. Intellectual property

All content, software, design, and functionality of the Services (excluding your user content) are owned by IELTS 9 or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. “IELTS” is a registered trademark of the University of Cambridge ESOL, the British Council, and IDP Education Australia; we use it descriptively and claim no affiliation.

9. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties (e.g. LemonSqueezy, Supabase, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Apple). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that harms us or other users. On termination, the licences you granted end, except where content must be retained for legal reasons.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IELTS 9 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or exam outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your mandatory consumer rights).

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of the Republic of Türkiye, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
