Preparation tips for candidates in Hong Kong
- 1Hong Kong candidates typically score highest on Reading and lowest on Writing Task 2 — invest disproportionately in essay structure and idea generation.
- 2Book the UKVI version (IELTS for UKVI) if your purpose is a UK visa — standard IELTS will not be accepted by UKVI.
- 3British Council Wanchai centre is well-equipped but cold — bring a layer; long Listening sessions can be uncomfortable.
