Диаграммы процессов проверяют умение выстраивать последовательность и использовать страдательный залог. В отличие от линейных графиков и столбчатых диаграмм, здесь нет чисел: ваша задача описать как что-то производится или как что-то происходит, по порядку, с точной технической лексикой.

Структура ответа на диаграмму процесса для Band 7

Четыре абзаца, 170-200 слов:

1. Introduction (вступление): перефразируйте задание и укажите, сколько этапов
2. Overview (обзор): начало, конец, общее число этапов, тип процесса
3. Body 1: первая половина процесса подробно
4. Body 2: вторая половина процесса подробно

Шаг 1: определите тип процесса

Два основных типа:

• Природный процесс: жизненные циклы, погода, геологические циклы (используйте действительный залог и Present Simple)
• Созданный человеком процесс: производство, переработка, очистка воды (используйте страдательный залог)

Выбирайте глаголы соответственно.

Шаг 2: перефразируйте задание и посчитайте этапы

Оригинал: "The diagram below shows the process of glass recycling."

Перефразировано: "The diagram illustrates the stages involved in recycling glass into new products, beginning with collection and ending with the production of new glass items."

Всегда считайте этапы перед тем, как писать. Укажите число во вступлении или в обзоре: "The process consists of seven distinct stages."

Шаг 3: напишите обзор (overview)

Отразите начало, конец, общее число этапов и тип процесса:

"Overall, glass recycling is a circular process that begins with the collection of used glass and ends with the manufacturing of new glass products. There are seven main stages, with crushing and melting representing the most energy-intensive steps."

Шаг 4: Body-абзац 1, первая половина

Используйте слова последовательности и страдательный залог для созданных человеком процессов:

"At the first stage, used glass bottles and jars are collected from households and dropped off at recycling centres. The collected glass is then transported to a processing facility, where it is sorted by colour. Once sorted, the glass is washed thoroughly to remove labels, residues, and contaminants."

"Following the cleaning stage, the glass is crushed into small fragments known as cullet. The cullet is subsequently melted in a furnace at temperatures exceeding 1,500 degrees Celsius. Конструкции страдательного залога (необходимы для Band 7)

Для созданных человеком процессов последовательно используйте страдательный залог:

Для природных процессов правильно использовать действительный залог в Present Simple:
